Ring of Barahir
Heirloom of the House of Isildur
"For this ring was like to twin serpents, whose eyes were emeralds, and their heads met beneath a crown of golden flowers, that the one upheld and the other devoured"

i've been thinking about the power of symbols a lot lately and this ring is a symbol for my new life... new ring new finger
also, I just miss wearing my wedding ring! Not because of the marriage itself but as an object on my hand that I was used to... I liked to spin it around and tap it on things. I remember that scene is The Abyss (1989) where Ed Harris throws his wedding ring in the toilet then fishes it out. The ring later saves his life by stoping a steel door from shutting all the way. That's a symbol, of course. So basically, I need a new one so I can stop steel doors!
